And the day finally came! 18th Sept 2014, an historical date for Scotland´s future. These photos show just a little bit of what the atmosphere was like in the streets of Edinburgh the day that its people had to decide whether they would became an independent country or remain part of the United Kingdom.
The result was a bit surprising for me because there was a lot more YES posters and signs on the streets than NO. But result aside, it clearly was a festive day where everybody could express themselves in the most democratic way; voting and accepting what the majority decided. I felt quite proud of living through this historical date and also because I had the chance to vote. I would never have thought about it before!
